The device simply projects the laser image of a keyboard onto a plane surface. Just type on that keyboard
A projection keyboard is an input device of a computer whereby the image of a virtual keyboard is projected onto a surface: when a some one touches the surface covered by an image of a key, the device records the corresponding keystroke.
its was first invented by IBM engineer in 1992,
in this keyboard a sensor is used which convert the movement of the finger into identical action by using software , in some keyboard infrared rays is used over the surface of the light , when some one tough the virtual button , infrared rays reflect from the finger of the user and back to the projector, which passed through an infrared filter and on the way is pass through a camera which measure the angel at which these infrared rays were reflected and sense back by the projector, which use a software and identify the virtual button which was press by the user. the diode used in it is infrared red laser diode and the sensor is CMOS sensor chip.
user can connect this virtual keyboard to computer by either usb or through usb port.
